Vince Cardella

Principal, Strategic Wealth Planning

Vince has over 30 years of professional experience in the financial services industry and is a co-founder and principal of Promerita’s Strategic Wealth Planning practice.


Vince’s was a member of Standard Life’s product design team where he helped to price and design the company’s first universal life insurance product for the Canadian marketplace; he also led the training and development of financial advisers across Canada. From there, Vince had a successful career as an Estate Planning Specialist at RBC Dominion Securities where he was instrumental in creating and implementing some the largest income and preservation strategies in that firm’s history. Vince has also served on the national advisory board and the compliance committee for Manulife.


Vince’s technical expertise in pricing and designing complex financial products and sophisticated planning structures is complemented by significant training and experience in addressing family business succession and estate planning matters. This combination of expertise and experience has led to him becoming a key adviser to a number of prominent families and also makes him a sought after presenter at national and regional financial and accounting industry conferences, global accounting firms and prominent law firms.


Vince has an MBA in Finance, a CFP, and a Family Enterprise Advisor (FEA) designation through the UBC Sauder School of Business.  Vince is also a member of the Conference for Advanced Life Underwriting (CALU), is a member of the Estate Planning Council of Vancouver, and is the technical insurance consultant and expert for both the Vancouver Foundation and the VGH-UBC Hospital Foundation.


When not working, Vince volunteers his time on the board of the Vancouver Chopin Society which brings preeminent pianists to Vancouver for recitals.  He has also achieved the Level III Advanced Wine Certification through the WSET program, and has taken the French Wine Scholar program.
